One of the major events of Comic-Con International in San Diego was BET's unveiling of the trailer for their upcoming prime-time animated series "Black Panther." With animation based on the artwork of legendary artist John Romita Jr., the trailer immediately lets it be known that this is a faithful adaptation done in the style of the comic.

In addition to the trailer, CBR has an exclusive interview with BET President and writer of the "Black Panther" comic, Reginald Hudlin and Senior VP of BET Denys Cowan. They speak with CBR's Jonah Weiland about the origins of the series, what the character means to the people working on the cartoon, whether this could have ever come to be without the involvement of Hudlin and BET and much more.

In addition, CBR has a look at the upfront presentation video shown to advertising buyers earlier this year that includes interviews with Hudlin and Cowan.
