RED

According to the Heat Vision blog at the Hollywood Reporter, actors Julian McMahon, Ernest Borgnine, Richard Dreyfuss and Brian Cox are in talks to appear in the film. McMahon would play "a Vice President with a dark side who is at the center of a shadow conspiracy." As for the others, "Borgnine will play the keeper of the CIA’s darkest records, while Dreyfuss will be a wealthy man who builds a fortune out of lucrative government contracts. Cox is a former Cold War spy and nemesis of Willis," writes Heat Vision.

Starring Bruce Willis, release date: November 19th, 2011

According to Production Weekly's Twitter page, "Filming on Marvel's "Thor" is scheduled to begin in LA mid-January, then move to Santa Fe, New Mexico from March till late-April."

BATMAN 3

It's been awhile since we had a Batman 3 sighting. In fact, looking back on things, it appears the only source of information on the film has been trusty butler Michael Caine. Well, no longer. Now, he is towing the company line. IGN reports the actor told British magazine Shortlist, "I don't know if they are ever going to make another 'Batman.' If they do it won't be for quite a while." Now keep in mind that this was the sort of information people involved in the production gave the press while director Christopher Nolan was making "The Prestige." Will a third Nolan Batman movie happen? Of course. Will anyone be willing to talk about before Nolan's next film, "Inception" comes out? No.

Release date: TBA

WEEKEND GETAWAY

Cue up that Loverboy track and get me a rum drink. It's the weekend! Now that I've finally seens "Phatasm II," I'm continuing onto the other sequels and perhaps splurging on a nice steak dinner. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening this weekend, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of a baked potato.
