SMALLVILLE

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello says the JSA two-hour TV movie now has a name: "Smallville: Absolute Justice." Meanwhile, the CW YouTube page offers a clip of the upcoming episode, "Pandora."

New episode: Friday

IRON MAN 3

Moviephone asks actor Faran Tahir about returning to the series, as Internet talk like to peg him for The Mandarin. "At some point, they want to introduce Mandarin into the storyline and my character, like Mandarin, was the leader of the Ten Rings. We're leaving it open because, partly, it makes good business sense for us to leave a little bit of uncertainty for people to speculate on," says Tahir.

Release date: TBA

GLOBAL FREQUENCY

According to Production Weekly's Twitter account, "The CW will again try to adapt Warren Ellis' comic book 'Global Frequency,' this time Scott Nimerfro will script the pilot." The series was attempted once before by Fox. That effort produced a pilot which makes the rounds on nefarious Internet sites and appears as a bootleg on the convention circuit.

Release date: TBA

MISS: BETTER LIVING THOUGH CRIME

According to Variety, Antonie Fuqua will direct an adaptation of the graphic novel with Spike Lee producing. Variety describes the project, "which revolves around Nola and Slim, two unlikely partners in crime in the early 1900s in New York. Nola is a poor white girl who has learned to survive by hook or by crook since being expelled from the orphanage. Slim is a black pimp with an uncertain past, trying to keep one foot out of the grave."

Release date: TBA

SPIDER-MAN 4

UGO has today's Black Cat rumor: Julia Stiles reportedly took a meeting to discuss appearing in the film.

Directed by Sam Raimi, release date: May 5th, 2011

KICK-ASS

Christopher Mintz-Plasse tells MTV News about his character, the Red Mist. "My character is very more out there, very open with smoking weed and is like, 'let's go out there and fight crime!' and Kick-Ass is very aware of what's going on around him," says Mintz-Plasse.

Starring Nicholas Cage, release date: April 16th, 2010

NIGHTFALL

Platinum Studios intends to develop its 2007 graphic novel into a feature property, according to Variety. The articles describes the project as centering on "a man who finds out just how bad life can get when he discovers that the prison he just entered is controlled by vampires."

Release date: TBA

CHARGER!

I played my first round in "Left 4 Dead 2," and I hate Chargers. I don't do a lot of multiplayer games, but that zombie apocalypse series is just exceptional. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of Spitters and Jockeys.
